warnmcr: mayday, mayday...

Bank holidays seem to be like buses, you wait for months then 3 come along at once... so from my long working weekend last week, I'm now looking at an indulgent 3 day stretch and debating whether to fill it with another trip across the Pennines...

This weekend it's all go in Leeds with the concluding part of Transform Festival, running until Sat 4 May with: Action Hero's Oh Europa continuing; plus machina eX's Rewire LeedscolectivA ocupaçao's When It Breaks It Burns (coming to Manchester next week), Tianzhuo Chen's An Atypical Brain Damage + Julian Hetzel's All Inclusive.
Slung Low at The Holbeck have BÉZNĀ Theatre's Illegalised on Sun 5 May; while Leeds International Festival (2-12 May) is also up and running.
Closer to home, CYC + BAC Homegrown's Ramping Up is at the Bread Shed (Fri 3 + Sat 4 May); and in Liverpool, Imitating the Dog's Heart of Darkness is at the Playhouse (until 4 May).

Next week (w/c 6th May) Contact presents colectivA ocupaçao When It Breaks It Burns at Millennium Powerhouse (Wed 8 + Thu 9 May). Bertrand Lesca + Nasi Voutsas's One (8-10 May) +Peaches Christ's Drag Becomes Her (8-11 May) are at HOME; while Rhiannon Faith's Smack That is at The Lowry on Sat 11 May.

The following week (w/c 13 May) quite terrifyingly for us, it's all about Works Ahead 2019 in STUN Studio at Z-arts; or check out Fabiola Santana in Lancaster.

Have a good workers' break!
