warnmcr: yet more work ahead...

Where on earth did the last week go?! I can't believe we've just rounded off Turn and are about to dig into Works Ahead!

But before that, this weekend you can still catch Thick Richard's Swear School at Contact (until Sat 6 May) and Nick Cassenbaum's Bubbleschmeisis at the HUB, Leeds on Sun 7 May.

Next week (w/c 8 May) in Manchester of course, it's all about Works Ahead at STUN Studio + Contact on Thu 11 + Fri 12 May. Three new developments of: Chanje Kunda's Superposition, Toni-Dee Paul's My Father's Kitchen and Tom Cassani's Someone Loves You Drive With Care.  All shows happen both nights in both venues - so grab a £13/7 double-ticket and join us both nights to see the lot!

Elsewhere, Daniel Bye's Going Viral is at the Met, Bury on Thu 11 May; or further afield, to the north, Lancaster Arts has Ellie Harrison's Etiquette of Grief on Mon 8 May and French Mottershead's Woodland on Mon 8 + Tue 9 May; while Blackpool Grand has  Mark Murphy's V-TOL in Out Of This World on Tue 9 May.  Looking east, on Mon 8 May, last year's Works Ahead finale, Lucy McCormick's Triple Threat is at Live Art Bistro, Leeds; and Nick Cassenbaum's Bubbleschmeisis is at the LBT, Huddersfield; while over the weekend in Leeds, Edythe Woolley's Did You Get That From Your Mother is at Live Art Bistro on Sat 13 May; and Best of Both Worlds' A Busker's Opera is at the HUB on Sun 14 May.

The following week (w/c 15 May) Milk Presents are at LBT, Huddersfield; Jack Rooke and Kieran Hurley are at HOME; our own Afreena Islam is at Oldham Coliseum and WoW is once more in WTF action with Stephanie Ridings at The Lowry.

I'm now off to make plans for a week in the windowless world of theatre (or three theatres to be accurate) - please do join us for Works Ahead

best
