warnmcr: a monstrous undertaking...

After a torrential weekend in Bristol, I'm enjoying this crisp, autumnal morning. If you fancy venturing out, this weekend, you can still catch Igor + Moreno's Andante at The Lowry and Reckless Sleepers's Negative Space at Salford University's New Adelphi Theatre both tonight, Fri 18 Oct.  There's also the Islington Mill Art Academy's All We Have year end show, including Jenny Gaskell's People, other living + dead things + the matter in between (18-21 Oct).
Alternatively, if you fancy a trip to Brum, Fierce Festival continues until Sun 20 Oct.

Next week (w/c 21 Oct), we at Word of Warning welcome the legendary Ron Athey's Acephalous Monster to NIAMOS on Wed 23 Oct - we've increased capacity so there a very few tickets available.
HOME has Scottee's Class (23-26 Oct) and Javaad Alipoor's Rich Kids: A History of Shopping Malls in Tehran (23 Oct-1 Nov). Kate Adams's Water Is Attracted To Water is at Salford University on Wed 23 Oct; while The Lowry has Gameshow's Nuclear Future (Thu 24 Nov) + HushHush (Fri 25 Oct).
Further afield, the Arts Centre at Edgehill University has Gracefool Collective's This Is Not A Wedding on Tue 22 Oct and Yael Karavan's Living Threads on Thu 24 Oct.  Luke McDonnell's Birdhouse is at Theatre Deli, Sheffield (23-26 Oct); and in Leeds, Leo Burtin's with bread is at Stage@Leeds on Thu 24 + Fri 25 Oct while Ema Boswood's Ghost Sexxx is at CLAY on Fri 25 Oct.

The following week (w/c 28 Oct) Levantes Dance Theatre and Michael Pinchbeck are at Salford University; while Burtin + Matthews are at the Royal Exchange Theatre; and The People Show are at The Edge, Chorlton. Elsewhere, Smith + Sveen are in Preston and Leeds.

I'm off to await delivery of blankets to add a little touch of warmth to our monstrous ritual for resistance.
