Word of Warning...
Just taking a deep breath and a moment to acknowledge the energy and physical virtuosity to come as we spin into the beginning of Turn at Contact, tonight (Fri 4 + Sat 5 April).
A quick name check to all the 17 artists showing: Ane Iselin Brogeland, Anna Macdonald, Anoikis, Ashleigh Berry, Christopher Owen, Debbie Freedman, Ellen Turner, Fluxus Collective, Gracefool Collective, Hannah Buckley, Jane Munro + the visitors, Jo Ashbridge, Joshua Hubbard F*#¿!D, Levantes Dance Theatre, Peter Grist + Company, Tom Bowes Dance, Yi-Han Wu 吳逸涵 + Oscar South. The full schedules are now up online at turnmcr.org, so please do come and join us.
In other news: Made in China's Gym Party is at The Royal Exchange Studio also on 4+5 April;
Unfinished Business's Change My Mind is on Fri 4 at Theatre in the Mill, Bradford and SheepKnuckle's Man vs Artist 7 day marathon comes to its conclusion at Islington Mill at 6pm on Fri 4 April.
Next week, things are much quieter - Drunken Chorus's Just Like Larry Walters/Lindsay Bennett's Mercury Complex form a double-bill at Derelict Live on Mon 7 April; James Wilton Last Man Standing is at Blackpool Grand on Tue 8 April and the regular Tale of Whatever is at Gullivers Ballroom, Manchester on Wed 9 April.
The next few weeks around Easter, seem to be extremely quiet, though look out for Stan's Café's Anatomy of Melancholy on 24 April at the Lowry. Beyond that, I'm going to take a bit of a break from this for a couple of weeks while the going's good... unless of course, someone wants to tell me I've missed something unmissable..!
See you all for a twizzle at Turn.
