This weekend, in Manchester, it's a last chance to catch Ai Weiwei's Button Up! at Aviva Studios before it buttons up for good on Sun 6 Sep.

In Liverpool, if you're looking for some storytelling circus, Circus Zambia + Wake The Beast's Afronauts is at Liverpool Playhouse on Fri 4 Sep.
Meanwhile in Lancaster, Festival of Dissent is at The Gregson on Sat 5 Sep.

Next week (w/c 7 Sep), in Mancunia, One Fell Swoop's By A Thread is at Lowry on Thu 10 + Fri 11 Sep.

Things pick up in Liverpool, as Physical Fest runs at Unity (7-12 Sep), with Peta Lilly's Ungirlfriended on Tue 8; Izumi Ashizawa's Kurogo Me, Together! on Wed 9; Tmesis Theatre + Lizzie Nunnery's Demonology on Fri 11; and Zoe McWhinney's UPON A STALE SUN + Piergiorgio Milano's PESSADILLA on Sat 12 Sep.

In Lancaster, Bryony Kimmings's Bog Witch is at The Dukes on Fri 11 + Sat 12 Sep.

The following week (w/c 14 Sep) is so far pretty quiet - though you could look out for Eli Yim's The Easy Way Out at Barnsley Civic on Thu 17 Sep, then at Carriageworks, Leeds on Fri 18 Sep.
