There's
a definite dance bias to the next few weeks' activity - and that's not
just because we at Word of Warning are going there with Turn 2023!
IRL:
This weekend - you can catch Dance with Us on Fri 24 Feb and Verve on Sat 25 Mar at the New Adelphi, Salford. In Chester, Family Catwalk Extravaganza is at the Storyhouse on Fri 24 Feb; while on Sat 25 Feb, in Leeds the Riley Theatre has #Black Boy Joy Gone: Realise on Sat 25 Feb; and in Liverpool, there's a Scratch Studio at the Everyman.
Next week (w/c 27 Feb) inside the M60, everything happens on Thu 2 Mar: Company Chameleon's Umbra premiers at their Openshaw studios; while HOME has An Evening Without Kate Bush; and Silvio Mercuriali's Macondo is at The Lowry. Further out, in Leigh, on Fri 3 + Sat 4 Mar The Pappy Show's What Do You See? is at the Turnpike Gallery.
Elsewhere, on Wed 1 Mar Rendez-Vous Dance's What Songs May Do is at the Capstone Theatre, Liverpool and Joseph Toonga's Born To Exist is at Lancaster Arts.
The following week (w/c 6 Mar) For us, it's all about Turn 2023 and Mixed Movement x Open Floor at Contact, while, much more theatrically, Imitating the Dog are at The Lowry.
Further afield, in Ormskirk, there's a screening of Hedda plus a show from Ugly Bucket. Liz Richardson is in Lancaster; Jesús Rubio Gamo x WDP in Leeds; and Jane Mason + Grace Surman in Hebden Bridge.
If anyone's heading for London, Sprint Festival starts at CPT (7-27 Mar).
