While
we might be basking in sunshine, don't be fooled as the icy grip of
winter is due to descend again next week... but mercifully the
performance world is warming up a bit.
This weekend you can still catch The Bare Project's On The Outskirts of a Large Event at HOME and Gecko's The Wedding at Liverpool Playhouse (both til Sat 24 Feb).
Next week (w/c 26 Feb) things really heat up: Word of Warning sticks its head above the parapet for its first public outing of 2018 to give global greed a reckoning courtesy of Proto-type Theater's The Audit at the Lowry on Wed 28 Feb (also at Lancaster Arts on Tue 27 Feb). Also in Manchester, the Shamshad Khan-penned Horse + Bamboo's Moonstruck is at the Royal Exchange Theatre on Fri 2 and Sat 3 Feb; and the Free For Arts Festival is at Plant NOMA on Sat 3 Mar.

Further afield, on Thu 1 Mar there's Sweetshop Revolution's BEAUTIFUL at the Arts Centre at Edgehill University; and Ryan O'Shea's I R A N at Axis Arts, Crewe; while on Fri 2 Mar (into Sat 3 Mar) Live Art Bistro has Git To The Bunker, an all-night lock-in described as a performative exhibition, on Fri 2 into Sat 3 Mar. Also in Leeds, Uncanny Theatre's Outrage is at the HUB on Sun 4 Mar.
There's also a healthy dose of dance: on Thu 1 Mar with Company Chameleon's 10 at the Lowry and Verve's Mixed Bill at Lancaster Arts; on Fri 2 Mar there's Mapdance at the Arts Centre at Edgehill University; and This Is Where It's At at Yorkshire Dance, Leeds.
The following week (w/c 5 Mar) there are two shows from Action Hero (Extraordinary Rendtion and Slaptalk) at HOME; plus Proud and Loud's Affirmations at Manchester Art Gallery. Further afield, Leeds is busy with Tom Cassani, Age of The FELINE PURRFECT, Horse + Bamboo (also in Rossendale); Best of BE Festival and Proto-type Theater; while in Liverpool there's Mark Thomas and Alice Bunker-Whitney.
Hope to see you at The Lowry for The Audit!
best
