warnmcr: desperately seeking Su...

On this Gray day the civil service seems intent on upstaging the theatre world with the best cliffhanger (and probably anticlimax) ever.  As we edge ever closer to February, however, a few more intentionally performative things are starting to happen. - so just a very quick update, largely to give a heads-up that Queer Contact is impending:

IRL:
This weekend Rob Newman's The Philosophy Show is at the Lowry on Sat 29 Jan; while Turn On Festival at Hope Mill Theatre has a Scratch Night on Sun 30 Jan. Over in Leeds CLAY has Hole Again tomorrow Fri 28 Jan.

Next week (w/c 31 Jan) Turn on Fest at Hope Mill Theatre has Creatures of Catharsis If Not When Then Now on Thu 3 Feb, and a  Development Evening on Sun 6 Feb; while at The Lowry the Horizons Collective Shoots Scratch is Fri 4 Feb.
Wigan Old Courts has Dibby Theatre's First Time on Wed 2 Feb while in Leeds Yorkshire Dance has No Dress Code on Fri 4 Feb and Slung Low at The Holbeck has Avital Raz's My Jerusalem on Sat 5 Feb.

The following week (w/c 31 Jan) Motionhouse are at HOME and Queer Contact kicks off including, on the first weekend, a Scratch of early works.
Levantes Dance Theatre is in Huddersfield and LancasterSilvia Mercuriali in Liverpool and Edalia Day in Leeds. Much further afield, BE Festival kicks off in Birmingham.

Online:
Breaking news, The Lowry has Proto-type Theater's A Dangerous Thing from today until Thu 18 Feb.

Elsewhere still not seeing a lot, but you might want to invest in Third Angel's The Distratction Agents and there's always HOMESCREEN and there's also still MIF Watch On Demand.

Keep checking our News + Information page for more pointers to opportunities and show videos online, and @WarnMcr on Twitter for short-notice performances.
