warnmcr: emergency waffling...

So here we are, on the eve of another Emergency - tomorrow Sat 6 Oct at Z-arts. I hesitate to say it but I think this is the largest number we've ever attempted in the one day.  From noon dip in and out of ongoing performances, installations and limited capacity experiences (don't miss Proud & Loud Arts at 1pm); from 2.30pm it’s adult-only live art, (get in line from 2.30 for Emma Geraghty's intimately risqué new piece); and from 5.30pm join us for a series of short sit-down shows including Tom Cassani's new feat of prestidigitation. Sample the different — then pay what you decide!

If that's not enough for you, elsewhere this weekend Unlimited Theatre + RashDash's Future Bodies is at HOME (until 13 Oct); and Ellie Dubois's No Show is at The Lowry tonight, Fri 5 Oct; or check out Yusra Warsama's Still I Rise trail on Sun 7 Oct at Manchester Art Gallery.

Further afield, Tmesis Theatre's Beyond Belief is at the Unity, Liverpool (28 Sep - 6 Oct);  and Furnace Festival  is ongoing at Leeds Playhouse (til 6 Oct); and Slung Low's HUB has How To Party and We are Ian's In Bed With My Brother on Sun 7 Oct.

Next week (w/c 8 Oct), in parts Mancunian,  join us, Word of Warning, on Wed 10 Oct at The Lowry for a one-off, Brexit-inspired pairing of Instant Dissidence's One Last Dance accompanied by Leentje Van de Cruys's Belgian Waffling. Darren Pritchard's Rent Party is at the Klondyke in Levenshulme (10-13 Oct) (also see the BBC film about it); Heiner Goebbels Everything that happened and would happen is at Mayfield Depot (10-21 Oct); and Clod Ensemble's Placebo is at The Lowry (11-13 Oct).

Beyond Mancunia, to the east, on Mon 8 Oct Ellie Dubois's No Show is at Leeds Carriageworks; while another unique leg of Instant Dissidence's One Last Dance is at Bradford Theatre in the Mill. On Tue 9 Oct Rebecca Atkinson-Lord's The Class Project is at the LBT; and Emma Decent's I Don't Know What I'm Supposed To Be Doing is at Ilkley Literatrue Festival (also in Settle on Fri 12 Oct).  On Wed 10 Oct Xavier Velastin + Hannah Mook's Me and My Whale is at Stage@Leeds; and Marlborough Theatre's New Queers on the Block is at Bradford Theatre in the Mill. On Sun 14 Oct Tin Can People's Katie & Pip is at Slung Low's HUB.

To the south and west, the Arts Centre at Edgehill University has Karavan Ensemble's Pupik on Tue 9 Oct, Tmesis Theatre's Beyond Belief on Fri 12 Oct and A little bird told me's When did you stop dancing? on Sat 13 Oct.  Mary Pearson's FoMO, mofos! is at the Capstone, Liverpool on Wed 10 Oct; and Eve Recacha's Aftermath is at Axis, Crewe on Thu 11 Oct.

The following week (w/c 15 Oct) Keisha Thompson and Elmi Ali are at STUN; the Breaking Ground platform is at Sale WatersideSéance is at The Royal Exchange Theatre; Quarantine is at the New Adelphi, University of Salford and Emma Decent is in Chorlton.  Elsewhere, Ellie Dubois is in Lancaster; Gracefool Collective in Leeds; Lisa Alexander at Edgehill; Clod Ensemble in Preston (website currently down, check back later); and Unlimited Theatre + RashDash in Huddersfield

Hopefully that hasn't overwhelmed you too much. Perhaps unsurprisingly, I'm myopically focused on Emergency and Instant Dissidence's One Last Dance. Hope to see you at one or both!
