In a week of explosive revelations surrounding Bojo the clown and his cabal, suddenly the fireworks recalling the Gunpowder Plot seem a little more tame. As performative as it all may be, in the actual world of performance, the next couple of weeks are pretty busy:

This weekend, Lewys Holt's The Empty Orchestra is at Waterside Arts, Sale on Sat 4 Nov; while Mark Thomas is in England + Son at HOME until Sat 4 Nov; and Free Your Mind comes to a close at Aviva Studios on Sun 5 Nov.
In Leeds, Ellie Harrison's All That Lives is at CLAY on Sat 4 Nov; while in Sheffield,  James Wilton Dance's Lore is at the Drama Studio also on Sat 4 Nov.

Next week (w/c 6 Nov) at The Lowry there's Joe Sellman-Leava's Fanboy on Thu 9 Nov and ACE Dance's Unknown Realms on Fri 10 + Sat 11 Nov; while The Welcome takes over Aviva Studios (11-19 Nov) - alternatively there's a Bunker Talk with The Long Dead Stars at The Salutation on Tue 7 Nov.
Further afield Black Sheep is at The Duke's in Lancaster on Wed 8 Nov; at Sheffield Plahyouse, Penguin is on Thu 9 + Fri 10 Nov and Parler Femme is on Sat 11 Nov. In Warringtoin Company Carpi's When You Light A Candle is at the Pyramid on Sat 11 Nov; while Homotopia kicks off in Liverpool (11 Nov-2 Dec).

The following week (w/c 13 Nov) Frantic Assembly is at The Lowry; An Attempt to Lose Time at the New Adelphi; Reece Williams at HOME; Company Chameleon in Openshaw and Tim Crouch at Contact (also in Lancaster).
In Liverpool, Homotopia has Black Sheep, Chosen Haram, David Hoyle, Queercore Double Bill. Hidden Track are in Sheffield and Lancaster. There's a Scratch Night in Warrington; In the Realm of the Dark Rabbit and Avital Raz in Sheffield and Siobhan Davies + Charlie Morrissey in Hebden Bridge.
