warnmcr: festival fever...

Those of us seeing spots in front of our eyes this morning needn't worry, it's just an early case of festival fever and there's certainly plenty of it to catch:

This weekend among many other things, Manchester International Festival also has Tino Seghal's This Entry, Blast Theory + Manchester Street Poem's We Cut Through Dust (both running throughout) and Ryuichi Sakamoto's Kagami (until 9 Jul). GM Fringe also gets going (1-31 July) including a couple of intriguing online works: Making It Up and Tigers in the Wisteria throughout July; while Didsbury Arts Festival has James Rowland's Learning to Fly at Didsbury Baptist Church on Sat 1 Jul.

The Lowry also has Yasmeen Audisho Ghrawi's From the Daughter of a Dictator tonight Fri 30 Jun + Mohamed Toukabri's The Power of the Fragile tomorrow Sat 1 Jul.

Beyond Mancunia, in Preston, Derelict continues Superphonic tonight Fri 30 Jun at Media Factory, UCLAN, while in Liverpool, there's Physical Fest (until 7 Jul) with Tmesis Theatre's Sealskin at the Everyman (until 1 Jul).

Next week (w/c 3 Jul) at MIF, look out for Balmy Army (1-15 Jul) and Rimini Protokoll's All Right Good Night (6-8 Jul) both at HOME, while GM Fringe has Transparency at both 53Two (Fri 7 Jul) + Salford Arts Theatre (Sat 8 Jul).

In Liverpool, Physical Fest at the Unity has Julia Masli's Choosh! on Mon 3 Jul, Dive on Tue 4 Jul and Duda Paiva Co's Blind on Wed 5 Jul. In Wigan Touretteshero's Burnt Out in Biscuitland is at Wigan Pier on Thu 6 + Fri 7 Jul. In Leeds Yorkshire Dance has  Encounters on Fri 7 + Sat 8 Jul.

The following week (w/c 10 Jul) brings MIF to a close - with, among other things, Benji Reid Find Your Eyes (12-16 Jul) + R.O.S.E (13-16 Jul).
