warnmcr: final gambit...

Just dropping in with a quick reminder that, as our wannabe leaders take to the hustings in Manchester, we at Word of Warning take to the streets with Proud and Loud Arts' Gambit tomorrow, Sat 20 Aug. A giant game of chess and a meditation on the the visibility of disabled people post-pandemic - join us in St Ann's Square at (approximately) 12pm, 1.45pm + 3.30pm.

Thereafter there doesn't seem to be much happening until early September - when you could catch Arrival Festival at New Adelphi, University of Salford on Thu 1 + Fr 2 Sept;
Xhi Ndubisi's The Grand Pear Supper at Lonsight Art Space now on Fri 2 + Sat 3 Sep. Over in Leeds on Fri 2 Sep, there's a Scratch at Leeds Playhouse and Alex Billingham's Milk + Honey at ClAY.

For details of my Edinburgh Fringe longlist go to the Weekly Warning of 22 Jul - and don't forget to check Edinburgh International Festival for our own Mandla's As British As A Watermelon.

Online:
Edinburgh Fringe also has an online programme alongside Lowry DigitalHOMESCREENMIF Watch On DemandUnity Online + Sadlers Wells Digital Stage.
With our shiny new YouTube url (youtube.com/c/WordofWarning) we've now added my session on DYCP grants to the collection.

Keep checking our News + Information page for more pointers to opportunities and show videos online, and @WarnMcr on Twitter for short-notice performances.

Hope to see you at Gambit tomorrow - or I'll be back early September when things liven up a bit!

Best
