warnmcr: fiscal drag...

... not the next new cabaret night, but the sleight of hand where the Chancellor pulls a tax rabbit from his hat and yet we're still worse off. Surely the illusion wasn't a Spring election bunny? Meanwhile in winter:

This weekend, Rowland's Leaving's 100 Screens is at Longsight Art Space and Ridiculusmus's So is at The Lowry both tonight, Fri 24 Nov; while Tom Dale Company's Surge 360 is at Sale Waterside on Sat 25 Nov. In Liverpool, at the Williamson Tunnels, Homotopia has an EAT ME Cave Weekender (Fri 24-Sun 26 Nov) including EM Williams + Henri T's Always Been Here on Sat 25 Nov.

Next week (w/c 27 Nov) is the start of the seasonal slow-down. There's Laura Murphy's A Spectacle of Herself on Tue 28 Nov at The Lowry. Van Huynh Company's In Realness is at the Arts Centre at Edgehill University on Thu 30 Nov;  and Company Mek's Father Politics is at the Riley Theatre, Leeds on Sat 1 Dec.

For the rest of December there's Debut at the New Adelphi, Salford on Mon 4 Dec; a Bunker Talk with Jade Monserrat at the Salutation on Tue 5 Dec; Lightwaves on Salford Quays (7-10 Dec) and two nights of queer Jewish performance at Manchester Jewish Museum (Sun 10 Dec) and Islington Mill (Sat 16 Dec) respectively. In Leeds, there's Motus Mori's Corpus at the Art Gallery (8-10 Dec); in Liverpool there's Top Joe's Christmas Mass at the Everyman on Sat 16 Dec.
One to look out for in January is Andy Smith + Lynsey O'Sullivans A Citizens' Assembly at the Lowry on 18 Jan.

The Weekly Warning is going to take a seasonal break now and will be back mid January when the early shoots of performance start to appear.
