warnmcr: fit for the future...

So we launch into the new year and a new season with what we will inevitably look back on as a true artistic highlight: Joe Wicks's MOVE Manchester at Aviva Studios... a taste of the future of cultural venues?

For those of us not into PE with Joe, next week (w/c 22 Jan) there's an unseasonal blast of activity with Future Flares at MMU featuring award-winning Enkidu Khaled's Working Method on Wed 24  + Fri 26 Jan, Reckless Sleepers' String Section, Michael Pinchbeck's Another Way of Telling and Gillian Dyson's Nerve in the Bone on Thu 25 Jan and An Image is an Act Not a Thing on Fri 26 Jan.
The Lowry has Bitteroot's If It's To Break on Wed 24 Jan, Company Chameleon Studios has Beyond The Studio - Connect on Thu 25 Jan and Hope Mill has the Create sharing on Fri 26 Jan.
In Leeds, Northern Rascals' Shed is at the Riley Theatre on Sat 27 Jan.

The following two weeks (w/c 29 Jan + w/c 5 Feb) see a return to a more traditional seasonal lull - but there's Bi-Topia at Sale Waterside on Fri 2 + Sat 3 Feb; and at The LBT, Huddersfield on Wed 7 Feb.
Marisa Carnesky's Showwomxn is at the Drama Studio in Sheffield on Sat 3 Feb (coming to the Lowry in March).
On Thu 8 Feb, As SHE Likes It is at the Arts Centre at Edgehill University; and Gandini Juggling Project is at the Duke's in Lancaster; while, on Sat 10 Feb, Maura Jackson Even More O' Me is at Bolton Octagon on Sun 11 Feb.

The Weekly Warning will be back in a couple of weeks when activity starts to pic up a bit more.
