Word of Warning...
Apparently and surprisingly Summer has actually been ushered in - though it's undetectable in the chilled calm of our office..!
This week Quarantine's Summer continues til Sat 14 June in its warehouse home in Salford and there's Laura Mugridge's The Watery Journey of Nereus Pike at the Lowry on Sat 14.
We at WoW are all of a flutter over the impending Flare Weekender taking place all over Z-arts tonight Fri 13 and tomorrow Sat 14 June! Our contribution has been the installation of a luxury (not) kitchen and some spuds, whilst at the more glamorous end, a host of international visitors are descending on our home base... Ten international shows for a £16/10 weekend pass, you'd be daft to miss out!
Next week sees relative calm descend: Josh Coates's Particles is at the Gregson in Lancaster on Tue 17 June; Jamie Wood's Beating McEnroe is at Bradford's Theatre in the Mill on Sat 21 June and, closer to home, the Lowry has Chris Thorpe + Hannah Jane Walker's I wish I was lonely on Fri 20 June.
Our planner starts to look a bit thin towards the end of the month, so any up coming events to the end of June that feel like they might belong here, please let me know. One date for your diary for the following week, though, is Re:Con's Fluxus at Contact on Sat 28 June...
