warnmcr: Friday the 13th, pt 2

Word of Warning...
So the second consecutive Friday the 13th sees us we're now already well into the second week of SICK! Festival and Hunt & Darton Cafe has become a firm feature of Piccadilly Approach (Wed-Sun til 25 March).  Check out the timetable and take note of the new Sunday hours (10am-5pm). Today, Friday, has guest waiters Sara Cocker + Lowri Evans and we're lining up guests for next week's Unhappy Hour (Wed-Sat 6-30-7.30pm). As a special offer for WoW readers, quote Word of Warning for a 10% discount off food and drink!

Other SICK! Festival contributions this weekend are:
Chop Theatre's How To Disappear Completely also today, Fri 13 March at The Lowry;
the hugely topical Nirbhaya is on Sat 14 + Sun 15 Mar at Contact.
and in the week ahead:
Sue Maclaine's Can I Start Again Please on Mon 16 Mar at Z-arts;
Zachary Oberzan's Tell Me Love Is Real on Wed 18 March at Contact;
Action Hero's Slap Talk at the Whitworth on Thu 19 March (from 4pm durational);
Caroline Bowditch's Falling In Love With Frida at The Lowry on Fri 20 March
Edit Kaldor's Woe at Contact on Sat 21 March.

Beyond SICK!, this weekend the Lowry has Wim Wandekeybus's Ultima Vez's What The Body Does Not Remember tonight, Fri 13 + tomorrow Sat 14 Mar (also at Blackpool Grand on Fri 19 Mar.)
Elsewhere, Axis has Reckless Sleepers' The Last Supper at the Electric Picture House, Congleton (til Sat 14 March); and tonight, Fri 13 March, DV8's John is at the Blackpool Grand and Rajni Shah + Andy Smith's Experiments in Listening is at Live at LICA.

The following week sees the finale of SICK!, coming to a close with Christmas Day at Hunt & Darton Cafe (Wed 25 Mar) and Dead Centre's Lippy at The Lowry (which also plays host to Third Angel and Jamie Wood)
We at Word of Warning, meanwhile, turn(!) our attention to dance with Turn 2015 (Fri 27 + Sat 28 Mar at Contact).

And that's me done for the week,  just in time for a quick cake with Hunt & Darton and the lovely Sara + Lowri!

best
