Word of Warning...
Writing from the depths of the South West, Manchester seems a fair way away... nevertheless, this week you can still catch Fergus Evans's Rove at the Lowry, tonight Fri 13 and tomorrow Sat 14 Feb; or in Lancaster, at the Duke's Playhouse, Chris Thorpe + Hannah Walker's I Wish I Was Lonely tonight, Fri 13 Feb and on Sunday, Rebecca Atkinson-Lord's Sunday Lunch Project at Bradford's Theatre in the Mill.
Next week there's a brief half-term hiatus, though you can catch Two Destination Language's Near Gone at Edgehill University on Tue 17 Feb; Mammalian Diving Reflex's Nightwalks With Teenagers at Contact (20-22 Feb); and in Lancaster, Clod Ensemble The Red Chair is at Live at LICA on Thu 19 Feb, while Amy Sharrocks' Museum of Water is at the Storey Institute (20-22 Feb).
The following week (or 'Hell Week' as it's known in our office), parts Mancunian are unbelievably busy with DV8 at the Lowry, Blast Theory at the Royal Exchange and FutureEverything everywhere. Word of Warning pops up at the Lowry (twice!) with the incredible Mark Thomas and a horsey double bill. Not content with that the idiot programming WoW also saw fit to put on our second Haphazard, all ages live art day on Sat 28th at Z-arts!
So IF we survive and IF anyone's still talking to me, we'll see you there!
