As Friday morning teases an illusory burst of spring, maybe we can temporarily blank-out the almost biblical storms, pestilence and plagues of locusts... While next week is a little lean on the performance front, there's a bit of stockpile coming so get preparing!
This weekend you can still catch Sophie Woolley's Augmented at The Royal Exchange Theatre and Willy Hudson's Bottom at The Lowry (both until Sat 7 Mar); and Figs In Wigs's Little Wimmin at HOME (until 14 Mar) plus Leo Burtin's Good Appetiteat Manchester Art Gallery on Sun 8 Mar (part of Manchester Jewish Museum's Festival of Belonging (7-14 Mar).
Next week (w/c 9 Mar), Chanje Kunda's Plant Fetish is at Oldham Library on Tue 10 Mar; while MJM also has Avital Raz's My Jerusalem at Manchester Central Library on Wed 11 Mar; plus, for something more AV-based, EARTS Fête 2020 is at Whitworth Locke on on Sun 15 Mar. Elsewhere Liz Lea's Red is at the Arts Centre at Edgehill University on Tue 10 Mar; Beach Body Ready is at Theatre Deli, Sheffield on Thu 12 Mar; and Mark Thomas's 50 Things About Us is at Liverpool Playhouse on Fri 13 + Sat 14 Mar.
The following week (w/c 16 Mar) is a bit crazy: Word of Warning is co-presenting Jamal Gerald at The Royal Exchange Theatre; Robert LePage, Alexander Whitley Dance Co and Best of BE Festival are all at The Lowry; Imitating the Dog is at HOME; + Emergence 2020 is at Waterside, Sale. Further afield, the third Spill Yer Tea is in Liverpool; Vincent Dance + Vicci Riley in Ormskirk: and People Show in Lancaster.
Enjoy the first weekend without a named storm, if the doomsday hoarders haven't already turned it into one long supermarket treasure hunt!
