Word of Warning...
Feeling a touch unseasonal today talking about being cloistered in warm, black boxes, but, no doubt the weather will be back to normal by the time most of the following comes around, and my gothic tendencies always steer me to the dark side anyway!

Still on this week is Dickie Beau's Lost in Trans at Contact (tonight Fri 7 and tomorrow Sat 8 June) and, also tomorrow, Sat 8, there's Be Live, a new artist-led evening at the Penthouse on Hilton Street.
If any driver who knows me well enough to survive 5 hours in a car with me (!) wants to share driving to Leicester on Sunday, then there's also Circuit 2013 and Hatch: Scratch 2013.
Next week sees WoW back at Contact with Andy Field's Zilla! on Thu 13 and Fri 14 June (nb, we strongly recommend you book for both parts 1+ 2 on the same night!) plus there's the regular Tales of Whatever, an Embryo, and, for something a more at the theatre end of the scale, Tam Hintons The Package at the Lowry on Sat 15 + Sun 16.
Further afield, worth checking out in Liverpool on Wed 12 June is Dina Mousawi's Return at the Unity; and in Leeds, Jaye Kearney's One at the Carriageworks on Fri 14th.
Unbelievably, the following week sees Word of Warning's last show of the season - Fringe First-winning Jenna Watt's Flâneurs at Contact on Thu 20 June, kind of marking the end of the regular activities to be replaced by more festival-fuelled outbreaks. After next week this mail will probably be a bit more sporadic over the summer - so if you've anything that you think needs a mention in the next few weeks, drop me a mail before next Friday.
Meanwhile I'll go back to lurking in a dark cupboard somewhere while less pallid folk soak up the rays!
best
Tamsin
