As our putative future leader is sprinkled by stardust in Liverpool, closer to home, this weekend, we welcome our own glittering addition to the landscape as Free Your Mind brings the opening of Aviva Studios (13 Oct - 5 Nov); while Ailey 2 is at The Lowry on Fri 13 + Sat 14 Oct.

Elsewhere, Two Destination Language's 40/40 is at Wainsgate Dances in Hebden Bridge on Fri 13 Oct; while The Lighthouse is at Theatre Deli in  Sheffield on Sat 14 Sep while in Leeds, Transform Festival (11-22 Oct) has Aphids' Oh Deer! on Fri 13 + Sat 14 Oct and Cherish Menzo's Dark Matter on Sat 14 Oct. Much further afield, in Glasgow there's Take Me Somewhere (13-28 Oct) and in Ipswich there's SPILL (13-29 Oct).

Next week (w/c 16 Oct) Dibby Theatre's Toxic is at HOME (18-28 Oct); Victor Esses's The Death + Life of Us All is at The Lowry on Wed 18 + Thu 19 Oct; and Victoria Melody's Head Set is at The Edge on Thu 19 Oct.
Frantic Assembly's Metamorphosis is at the Playhouse, Liverpool (17-21 Oct); Close to Home's Identities is at Theatre Deli, Sheffield on Thu 19 and Fri 20 Oct; Wired Aerial's As The World Turned in St Helens on Sat 21 Oct; and Hamzeh Al Hussien's Penguin is at Leeds Playhouse Fri 20 and Sat 21 Oct.
Also in Leeds, Transform has Miet Warlop's One Song (19+20), Mexa's Pumpitopera Transatlantica (19-21), Katy Baird's Get Off (20+21), Silke Huysmans + Hannes Dereere Out of the Blue (20+21), Nastaran Razawi Khorasani's Songs for No One (21) and Chiara Bersani's Sottobosco (21).

The following week (w/c 23 Oct) Unless you're heading to Glasgow or Ipswich, then things quieten down a bit.
