warnmcr: hard working people...

This week WoW finds itself ensconced in the Studio at the Royal Exchange Theatre for the first time, for our run (yes, run!) of Nic Green's Cock and Bull (til Sat 18 Mar).  Tonight (Fri 17 Mar) is sold-out, but there are still tickets for tomorrow (Sat 18 Mar) and all I can say is *don't miss it*!

This weekend you can also still catch SICK! Festival:  today, Fri 17 Mar in Eccles c/o The Lowry there's Claire Cunningham's Guide Gods; and, at Contact,  Hetain Patel's American Man. Tomorrow, Sat 18 Mar at STUN Studio at Z-arts there's Jaamil Olawale Kosoko's Negrophobia; and at HOME, Lucas de Man's De Man in Europe
Further afield, Lydia Cottrell's Atlantis is at Bradford Theatre in the Mill, also on Sat 18 Mar.

Next week (w/c 20 Mar) sees the final week of SICK! On Wed 22 + Thu 23 Mar there's Zvizdal's Berlin at The Lowry; and Robert Softly's If These Spasms Could Speak at HOME.  On Fri 24 Mar Hiraeth is in Hulme (though I believe it's sold-out);  Ahilan Ratnamohan's Michael Essien I Want To Play As You is at Contact; and on Sat 25 Mar Milo Rau's Five Easy Pieces is at HOME.
Elsewhere, on Wed 22 Mar Gracefool Collective's Convicts + Lunatics  is at The Met, Bury; and  Catherine Hoffman's free Lunch with the StenchWench is at Live Art Bistro, Leeds; while on Sat 25 Mar Matthew Floyd Jones's Marksman is at the HUB, Leeds.

The following week (w/c 27 Mar) sees AAA Theatre and Robert LePage at The Lowry; and HOME goes all spanish with Republica and Sol Pico. Further afield Gary Clarke is in Blackpool, Levantes are in Preston and Unlimited Theatre is in Leeds.  We at WoW meanwhile will be indulging in a little all ages tomfoolery with the fourth Haphazard at Z-arts.

That's it for this week, except to say that we too are gutted to see the end of Lyn Gardner's Top Tickets in the Guardian. As audience, promoter and northern micro-counterpart we are more than conscious of the value of Lyn's work and how damaging its loss will be, particularly to those of us interested in work beyond the mainstream and outside London. We would like to add Word of Warning's voice to the 40 theatres' call to the Guardian to reconsider its decision.

best
