In
the blink of an eye yet another week has passed and already a strange
confluence of valentines and ash wednesday is looming - presumably
you'll be able to spot us sad singles by our sackcloth and ashes! On the
show front, things are just a bit quiet in parts Mancunian, so if
you're itching for some performance, you might want to consider a
roadtrip...
Tonight, Fri 9 Feb Queer Contact has 201DanceCompany's Skin at Waterside, Sale; while Tin Can People's Katie and Pip is at Lancaster Arts. Meanwhile, on Sun 11 Feb, Form has Christopher Brett Bailey+ Tomas Jevanova's Rate-X at Bootleg Social in Blackpool.
Next week (w/c 12 Feb) for a touch of the acrobatic, The Lowry has Nikki + JD's Knot on Thu 14 Feb (more info); otherwise, get ready to hit the road for Racheal Ofori's So Many Reasons at Edgehill on Mon 12 Feb; or Probe's Now You See It in Crewe on Tue 13 Feb. Fallen Angels' Dark Night Ends is at Liverpool Hope's Capstone Theatre on Thu 15 Feb; while Sophie Willan's Branded is at Bradford Theatre in the Mill on Fri 16 Feb.
Head to Leeds for Pauline Mayers's What If I Told You at WYP (13-17 Feb); Louisa Claughton's Interchangeable Bodies at Live Art Bistro on Fri 16 Feb; and Antonia Beck + Lucy Nicholls's The Death Show at HUB on Sun 18 Feb.
Alternatively in Lancaster there's The Bare Project's On The Outskirts Of A Large Event on Tue 13 Feb, plus the Foot in the Door sharings on Thu 15 Feb (both at Lancaster Arts); or Daniel Bye's The Price Of Everything on Wed 14 Feb at the Gregson.
The following week (w/c 19 Feb) generally things are looking a touch threadbare - but you can always catch The Bare Project at HOME, while Gecko is in Liverpool.
I'm gearing up for a week on the road (as we're supporting Foot in the Door in Lancaster) - though I might be tempted to stay home in my sackcloth for the odd pancake...
