As the city lurches into vast outdoor music festivities, in parts theatrical it's a bit feast or famine... Tonight, Fri 8 Jun you can catch Rachel Mars's Joke Translation Service at the Royal Exchange and Drift at Great Northern Warehouse; or North & South's Theatre with Legs at Bradford Theatre in the Mill; and tomorrow, Sat 9 Jun Motionhouse's Charge is at Media City.
Next week (w/c 11 Jun) is one of total gluttony. Word of Warning is back in action with Deborah Pearson's History History History at The Lowry on Wed 13 Jun (Pay What You Decide) - I don't often do this but it's genuinely one of the best shows I've seen in years, so please don't miss it! Elsewhere, HOME is also stuffed full with David Hoyle's Diamond (11-13 Jun); Chris Thorpe + Mala Voadora's Your Best Guess (Mon 11 + Tue 12 Jun) and Breach's The Drill (14-16 Jun); while the Royal Exchange Theatre has Barrel Organ's Anyone's Guess How We Got Here(14-16 Jun) - also at The HUB, Leeds on Sun 17 Jun. Further afield on Sat 17 Jun there's also Eggs Collective's Make Noise In The Library at Parr Library, St Helen's and Living Record Production's Thrown at Bradford Theatre in the Mill.
The following week (w/c 18 Jun) the cupboard's looking pretty bare - but you could check out House of Ghetto at Tribeca; or in Bradford, Where We Began.
Fill your boots and join us at The Lowry on Wednesday for a bit of History.
Best
