As we head into 2 weeks of Queer Contact and vogueing for all, we also see to be heading towards a half-term lull.
IRL:
This weekend, Motionhouse's Nobody is at HOME (until Sat 12 Feb) while Queer Contact has (I think both sold-out) Scratch on Sat 12 Feb and The Family Vogue Ball on Sun 13 Feb.
Tonight, Fri 11 Feb Levantes Dance Theatre's The Band is at The Duke's, Lancaster and Silvia Mercuriali's Macondo is at the Unity, Liverpool; while Edalia Day's Too Pretty to Punch is at The Holbeck in Leeds on Sat 12 Feb. Much further afield, BE Festival is at Birmingham Rep (15-18 Feb).
Next week (w/c 14 Feb) Queer Contact continues including Emma Frankland's Hearty on Thu 17 Feb and the Vogue Ball is at Manchester Academy on Fri 18 Feb. Elsewhere, Gecko's The Wedding is at Storyhouse, Chester (16-19 Feb); The Empathy Experiment 2.0 is at LBT, Huddersfield on Thu 17 Feb and Rowena Gander's Barely Visible is at Unity, Liverpool on Sat 19 Feb.
Thereafter, the remainder of February and early March seem to be quiet - but you could look out for Small Acts' Future Pub on Sat 26 Feb at The Holbeck, Leeds and Sadiq Ali's The Chosen Haram at The Lowry on Thu 3 Mar. If you want to get ahead, moving into mid March there is then a flurry of further flung festivals with Transform in Leeds and Sprint in London.
Online:
Proto-type Theater's A Dangerous Thing continues via The Lowry until Thu 18 Feb; you can send away for Third Angel's The Distraction Agents and there's always HOMESCREEN and MIF Watch On Demand or CPT Digital
In light of the lull, this Weekly Warning might take a couple of weeks breaks (unless I spot something unmissable) but will be back early March.
Keep checking our News + Information page for more pointers to opportunities and show videos online, and @WarnMcr on Twitter for short-notice performances.
