Word of Warning...
Seemingly in these parts it never rains but it pours, after a relatively drizzly couple of weeks, the week commencing 20 Oct is a proper soaking!
Still to come this week is HOME's presentation of the Best of BE Festival, tonight, Fri 17 and tomorrow Sat 18 Oct at No 1 First Street and ongoing is Imitating The Dog's A Farewell to Arms, Live at LICA at the Duke's, (til 25 October).
In Preston UCLan's Derelict kicks off with Two Destination Language's Near Gone on Wed 22 Oct + Search Party's My Son and Heir on Sat 25 Oct.
In Bradford at Theatre in the Mill there are two Manchester-grown shows - Chanje Kunda's Amsterdam at Theatre in the Mill Bradford on Wed 22 Oct, and our own Lowri Evans's The Secret Life of You and Me on Sat 25 Oct plus Paper Birds' Blind on Fri 24 Oct.
In Crewe, Axis Arts Centre has David Rosenberg + Glen Neath's Fiction on Thu 23 Oct.
In Liverpool, Homotopia is now underway, with its first live show DV8's John at Liverpool Playhouse (23+24 Oct) - already sold out!
In the Manchester environs, the Royal Exchange has The Secret Theatre Co's Series of Increasingly Impossible Acts (various dates from 21 Oct - 1 Nov).
The Lowry is playing host to two local premières - Company Chameleon's Beauty of the Beast on Wed 22 + Thu 23 Oct, and Tuheen Huda's Transmissions on Thu 23 + Fri 24 Oct.
Word of Warning, meanwhile leaps (?!) back into action, co-promoting Action Hero's Hoke's Bluff at Contact on Fri 24 + Sat 25 Oct. Friday is already sold out, so grab the remaining Saturday tickets while you can!
The following week seems to dry up a bit up North, so I'll be gearing up for the long haul to Ipswich for the 2014 Spill Festival!
