warnmcr: January blues

Word of Warning...
So... with the 'festive' season well and truly behind us and the bloom a bit faded on the shiny new year, it's back to business (or cynicism) as usual!

Word of Warning Spring 2015 programme is now live.  It's a very eclectic mix - from Amy+Rosana Cade's Sister at Queer Contact, some horsing around at the Lowry, a second bonkers all-ages Haphazard at Z-arts, and the 4th (yes fourth!) Turn at Contact.

Additionally WoW is delighted to be co-promoting Mark Thomas's Cuckooed at The Lowry (they've actually let us into the Quays for this one!) - best known as a stand-up and activist, and seemingly an odd choice for WoW, this piece and its predecessor were some of the best shows we've seen in Edinburgh over the past few years.  Cuckooed is so much in our kind of 'vein' that we really wanted to draw your attention to it - book fast as it will probably sell-out, but it's well worth it!

Also look out for our first venture into the world of catering in March!

Looking at the world beyond WoW... we are starting to piece together what Spring looks like:
On Tue 20 + Wed 21 Jan the Lowry has Random Dance's Atomos; on Thu 22 Jan, Josh Coates's Rot takes you on a mystery journey and, the same day, over in Leeds, Live Art Bistro has Brian Lobel's Purge.

The following week look out for Tim Crouch + Andy Smith at Contact; and Third Angel at Live at LICA, Lancaster; plus the intriguing Jamal Harewood at Live Art Bistro, Leeds.

And finally, if any of you fancies being involved in this madness, we are looking for our next paid intern! The criteria for the funding are quite strict, see full details here.

best
