warnmcr: manifestly obvious...

In the battle of Captain Cautious vs Dishless Rishi, the latter seems to have mastered the French Exit. Given culture barely merits a mention in any of the major party manifestos, looks like we'll continue to be low on the agenda...

This weekend is pretty quiet in Mancunia though you could try Mohand and Peter at HOME, tonight Fri 14 Jun; or check out the Festival of Libraries (until 16 Jun) across Manchester; or We Invented the Weekend (Sat 15 + Sun 16 Jun) on Salford Quays.

Elsewhere, in Leeds, you can see Emilyn Claid's Untitled at the Riley Theatre tonight, Fri 14 Jun, and Gobscure's You Have Already Surivived at Slung Low's Warehouse tomorrow, Sat 15 Jun. In Sheffield, Unwired Dance Theatre's Where We Meet is at Theatre Deli on Fri 14 + Sat 15 Jun; and The Monocle is at the Drama Studio on Sat 15 Jun.

Next week (w/c 17 Jun) seems even quieter - so far all I've come across is House of Mcr at Aviva Studios (20-22 Jun). In Liverpool, Ugly Bucket's Stuffed is at the Unity on Thu 20 Jun and That F*cking Seagull is at Theatre Deli in Sheffield on Fri 21 + Sat 22 Jun.

The following week (w/c 24 Jun) Short Supply's Scratch is at Islington Mill on Thu 27 Jun; and Out of CTRL is on at the Lowry with Andee Collard's Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction and Heather Alice's Sanspective on Fri 28 Jun and Shawn J Stephen's Constellations of Care and Scarlett Rose Lovette's Pseudo//Seizure Diary on Sat 29 Jun.

Further afield, in Prescot, Emily Parr's No Coward Soul is at Shakespeare North on Wed 26 Jun; in Leeds, Furnace x Arts at the Arms Scratch Night is at Leeds Playhouse on Thu 27 Jun; and Fireflies at Dawn is at Slung Low's Warehouse on Sat 29 Jun. In Blackpool Thick & Tight's Tits & Teeth is at the Grand on Fri 28 Jun. Much further afield, the thing I'm most drawn to is ITCH in Birmingham on Thu 27 Jun.

Online, Melanie Wilson's Dreaming Species listening experience for headphones has just launched.
