Terrifyingly we're already on the cusp of May and with it the looming round of elections... while it might not be 'the big one', in this suffra-versary year, it's definitely time to make our voices heard.
This weekend: in Mancunia, tonight Fri 27 Apr, there's Rachael Young's Nightclubbing at The Lowry; and Xavier Bobés's Things Easily Forgotten at HOME (until Sat 28 Apr); while in Bradford The Believers Are But Brothers is at Theatre in the Mill (also til Sat 28 Apr).
Next week (w/c 30 Apr) Rash Dash's Three Sisters starts at the Royal Exchange Theatre (3-19 May); while Sh!t Theatre's DollyWould is at HOME (3-5 May). Further afield there's Two Destination Language's Breaking Bread: On Otherness event at Lancaster Arts on Thu 3 May; and Gameshow's Dancing Bear, Dancing Bear at Bradford Theatre in the Mill on Fri 4 May.
The following week (w/c 7 May) brings a bit of bank holiday breathing space, but you can find Lucy Suggate at the Bluecoat, Liverpool; while in Leeds, WYP has Sh!t Theatre and the HUB has Cheryl Martin.
Have a nice mayday!
best
