warnmcr: mid May already, where did Spring go?

Word of Warning...

Most of you will be relieved to know I'm currently feeling brusque and to the point, so I'll just get on with it!  Still to come this week is Whitworth After Hours, tonight, Fri 17 May; Box of Tricks' CounterCultureClub at 2022NQ on Sat 18 May and, further afield, Slung Low's 15 Minutes Live on Sun 19 May in Bradford.

Next week, in parts Mancunian, on Wed 22 May there's the intriguing Electric Voice Phenomena at IABF, followed by Lois Weaver's What Tammy Found Out at Contact.  On Fri 24 May there's Embryo at Studio Salford; and, on Sat 25 May, the equally mysterious The Manopsychotisches Ballroom at 2022NQ.

Further afield Wendy Houstoun's 50 Acts is at the LBT in Huddersfield on Wed 22 may; Physical Fest in Liverpool has Daphnis Kokkinos's Addio Addio Amore at the Unity on Sat 25 May; and hopefully we'll be heading over to Leeds for Ollie Smith's Cat in Hell at Slung Low's HUB Sun 26 May.

The following week, for the poetically inclined there's Ben Mellor's Anthropoetry at Contact; the fascinating In May at Live at LICA and Mary Pearson's Failure at Unity.

Of course THE event to be at will be Word of Warning's double bill at Z-arts:  the return of Michael Pinchbeck (and hid dad) in a special preview of The Middle and Sheila Ghelani's sumptuously poetic Rat, Rose, Bird.

I only wish my lack of faffy procrastination extended to my actual workload - but I'm off to carry on wading through mounds of documentation of recent events (note to self, take fewer photos!).  To see the fruits of my labours check out our new galleries section on wordofwarning.org
