As conviction politics get a whole new definition, proceedings the other side of the pond have trumped the domestic farago of defection and purge.

In parts cultural, it seems like a quiet few weeks:

This weekend, tonight, Fri 31 May, Brook Tate's Birthmarked is at The Lowry.
In Liverpool, Liz Roche's Sentient is at the Everyman (until 1 June). In Leeds - Gecko direct The Rescue at the Riley Theatre on Sat 1 and Sun 2 Jun; while in Sheffield Emergence 2024 is at the Drama Studio on Sat 1 Jun.

Next week (w/c 3 Jun) Rowena Gander's Barely Visible returns to Mancunia, this time to The Lowry on Wed 5 June; while Schechter II's From England With Love is at HOME (6-8 Jun). On a historical note, both Manchester Histories Festival and Universally Manchester run 6-9 Jun.

In Lancaster, The Duke's has Carbon Theatre's The Witness on Fri 7 Jun. On Sat 8 June, Sheffield Theatres have Thatcher-rite; while in Leeds, Emergence 24 is at the Riley Theatre.

The following week (w/c 10 Jun) seems pretty quiet generally and especially in parts Mancunian, but you can check out the Festival of Libraries (12-16 Jun). In Leeds, on Fri 14 Jun you can see Emilyn Claid's Untitled at the Riley Theatre and Gobscure's You Have Already Surivived at Slung Low's Warehouse on Sat 15 Jun. Also on Sat 15 Jun, The Monocle is at the Drama Studio, Sheffield.
