everything’s just a little stranger... After what feels like a week on
the M62, Saturday sees the finale of Transform in Leeds.
This weekend, closer to home in Mancunia, on Fri 24 Oct New Adelphi has Watch Us Dance; Hofesh Schechter's Theatre of Dreams is at Lowry; and Processed Words' Orphans of Water is at PINK in Stockport. Vicky Clarke's Latent Spaces installation is also at SEESAW (24-26 Oct) and there's a Creative Weekend at Islington Mill (also 24-26 Oct).
In Leeds Transform Festival continues util Sat 25 Oct with work to come by Eve Stainton, Ira Brand, Eisa Jocson & Venuri Perera,Samir Kennedy & Sean Murray and Mexa among others.
Elsewhere, in Morecambe, Lancaster Arts has zuppa's Here Now This on Fri 24 + Sat 25 Oct. In Bradford, Javaad Alipoor's Elmet is at Loading Bay (until 2 Nov). In Blackpool there's Lightbox (24 Oct - 1 Nov).
Next week (w/c 27 Oct) on Wed 29 Oct Lowry has Platform+'s Fourfront. On Thu 30 Oct Auntie Tales: Ghost Stoires Across the Generations is at easa contemporary; Rowena Gander's Woman | Women is at New Adelphi; and Manchester Camerata's Black Skies Over Blue Hawaii with Company Chameleon is at The Stoller Hall. On Sun 2 Nov, Aviva Studios has Street Symphony x Krump.
Further afield in Barnsley, the Civic has Joss Arnott Dance's Meet The Hatter on Wed 29 + Thu 30 Oct; while the beginning of November sees the start of the month-long Homotopia in Liverpool - with most performance seemingly between 12+21 Nov.
The following week (w/c 3 Nov) Lowry has Sung Im Her's 1 Degree Celsius on Tue 4 Nov and Ontroerend Goed's Handle With Care on Wed 5 Nov. For something more discursive there's Rachel Smith's Bunker Talk on Tue 4 Nov.
In Huddersfield, Matt Miller's Fixing is at the LBT on Wed 5 Nov. In Sheffield the Drama Studio has Casson + Friends' Shed Stories on Thu 6 Nov and Bad Immigrant on Sat 8 Nov. In Leeds ACE Dance's TWASI is at the Riley Theatre also on Sat 8 Nov.
