warnmcr: spring forward...

The season is truly changing: the clocks go forward, the Spring budget has sprung and we may all be April fools; moreover Turn is twizzling into view...

This weekend Worklight Theatre's It's The Economy, Stupid! is at HOME on Fri 28 Mar; and Emergence's Triple Bill is at the New Adelphi Theatre on Fri 28 + Sat 29 Mar.

Tonight, Fri 28 Mar, Sam Danson's Bi-Topia is at the Carriageworks, Leeds; while Daniel Bye's Imaginary Friends is at Chester Storyhouse; and DaDaFest has the Eat Me cabaret at District in Liverpool. Intriguingly, on Sun 30 Mar, the student-run FlockFest is at the Riley Theatre, Leeds promising a festival of "live art and performance".

Next week (w/c 31 Mar) It's all go for dance: with Georgia Tegou's Homecoming on Tue 1 April and MarikisCryCryCry's Goner on Wed 2 Apr both at Lowry.

For us at Word of Warning it's all about Turn 2025 on Fri 4 April with 8 pieces from Dais Leach, Emmy Lahouel (Meraki Collective), JP Hon, KUDERA + MPEARSONATER, Maelstrom Theatre, Néa Synergy, Rachel Yan Ting Li, UMAMI‑i!‑MOVEMENT - full programme here.

Either my webtrawling is failing me or everywhere beyond Mancunia is very quiet - unless you go as far as Glasgow for Buzzcut (1-3 Apr).

The following week (w/c 7 Apr) Platform 4's The Alice Project is at Lowry on Wed 9 Apr and Ridiculusmus's Alas! Poor Yorick is at The Met, Bury on Thu 10 Apr.

In Bradford Cie Moost's Palette(s)  is at The Beacon, Wibsey Park (7-9 Apr) and Nathaniel J Hall/Dibby Theatre's Toxic is at Loading Bay, on Wed 9 Apr (also at the LBT, Huddersfield on Fri 11 Apr). In Blackpool, the Old Electric has a Scratch Night also on Fri 11 Apr.
