It's lovely to know that the cost of living crisis has been solved, just in time for state-endorsed partying to be extended to us all in the forthcoming celebration of hierarchy... but before that...
IRL:
This weekend, tonight, Fri 27 May you can still catch Works Ahead at Contact - it's PWYD so don't miss out.
Alternatively, tonight there's Everything I Didn't Say at The Lowry or tomorrow, Sat 28 May, Company Chameleon's Witness This is in Harpurhey; and there's a Scratch Studio at Liverpool Everyman.
Next week (w/c 30 May) you can catch Chrissy Jones' Shadow Girl Origins at Manchester Central Library on Wed 1 Jun - also at Beswick Library on Mon 30 May and, later in June, at Gorse Hill Studios. After that the world gives way to flag-waving.
The following week (w/c 6 Jun) Ali Matthews's Mushroom Language is in Salford; This Lands Heart is Greater Than Its Map is a walk from HOME; and Ergon Theatre are at Manchester Central Library. Meanwhile, in Leeds, Harry Clayton-Wright will also take you on a walk or there's an NHSmackdown at CLAY.
Online:
You can catch Mele Broomes's Grin (digital) courtesy of BAC 30 May-5 Jun. As ever check out Lowry Digital, HOMESCREEN, MIF Watch On Demand, Unity Online, Sadlers Wells Digital Stage or CPT Digital.
The Weekly Warning might have a week off while I hide in the shadows, keep checking our News + Information page for more pointers to opportunities and show videos online, and @WarnMcr on Twitter for short-notice performances. Hope to see you IRL at Works Ahead!
Best
