This gloomy morning sees us, unbelievably, in the last week of January and of being European...
The Mancunian early festival flurry is also winding down a bit but this weekend, at HOME you can still see this stage of Tania Camara's Oreo (tonight Fri 24 + tomorrow, Sat 25 Jan - then see how it develops in April); while Turn On continues at Hope Mill Theatre with Minute Taker's Wolf Hours tonight, Fri 24 Jan.
Next week (w/c 27 Jan) seems much calmer, but look out for Tamara Micner's Holocaust Brunch at Manchester Central Library on Mon 27 Jan. At HOME Archipelago's An Act of Care is on Tue 28 Jan and White Noise Theatre's Freedom To Move on Fri 31 Jan; while Barbara is at Hope Mill Theatre on Sat 1 Feb. Elsewhere, Emergence 2020 is at Stage@Leeds on Tue 28 Jan.
The following week (w/c 3 Feb) Mancunia goes very quiet indeed - so far all that has leapt out at me is Sheila Ghelani at Manchester Central Library and Nathaniel Hall at New Adelphi. Further afield Joseph Toonga and Joanne Tremarco are in Ormskirk, while Fram + Dunt are in Lancaster.
My work flurry isn't calming down however, so I'm off to try and put together a programme for the coming Emergency StopGap.
