Here we are in February, unbelievably the sun's shining and they're changing the guard at Manchester Palace...
Unless I'm missing something, after the January early flurry, we seem to be hitting a bit of a quiet patch in parts Mancunian, but this weekend, Hofesh Schechter's Grand Finale continues at HOME til Sat 3 Feb); while Hannah Mook is doing a wip sharing of Me and My Whale at Partisan on Sun 4 Feb.
Next week (w/c 5 Feb) however, Queer Contact has Jamie Fletcher & Company's Dancing Bear at the Palace Theatre on Tue 6 + Wed 7 Feb; and 201DanceCompany's Skin at Waterside, Sale on Fri 9 Feb.
Further afield on Tun 6 Feb Motionhouse's Charge is at Chester Storyhouse while Tom Cassani's Someone Loves You Drive With Care is at Axis, Crewe; on Thu 8 Feb YesYesNoNo's Five Encounters on a Site Called Craigslist is at Theatre Delicatessen, Sheffield while The Hiccup Project's May-We-Go-Round is at the Arts Centre, Edgehill University; Tin Can People's Katie and Pip is at Lancaster Arts on Fri 9 Feb; and Christopher Brett Bailey+ Tomas Jevanova's Rate-X is at Bootleg Social in Blackpool courtesy of Form, on Sun 11 Feb.
The following week (w/c 12 Feb) seems, once more, to be about travelling: Racheal Ofori is at Edgehill; Probe in Crewe; Pauline Mayers, Louisa Claughton and Antonia Beck + Lucy Nicholls in Leeds; The Bare Project, Foot in the Door and Daniel Bye in Lancaster; Fallen Angels in Liverpool; and Sophie Willan in Bradford.
Just a quick final note that, for the early birds amongst you, you can now book for Word of Warning's first little peek over the parapet this year with Proto-type Theater's The Audit (Wed 28 Feb).
