warnmcr: there's work ahead...

Word of Warning...

So, the world's slowly hatching after Easter, and although it's still a bit quiet I thought it was time to get things moving again, firstly with a heads-up about an intriguing online project, Laura Mansfield's Pala// here is always somewhere else, which, once signed-up for, transmits artist film and videos directly to you, via intermittent and unnannounced digital broadcasts.

For anyone up for a bit of real-world a blow-out tonight(Fri 25 April): Mother's Ruin is having a Meltdown at Contact, and there's also Noise Above Noise at the Penthouse in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

Then, for the next 10 days or so look to the east... to Bradford's Theatre in the Mill on Wed 30 April, for a work in progress ofl Baba Israel + Leo Kay's The Spinning Wheel Keeps TurningAnd, with a bit of geographical stretching, the biggie for 2-4 May is Gateshead International Festival (GIFT) featuring (amongst others) our own Sara Cocker + Nicki Hobday's Age Concerns, and Nic Green's Fatherland, followed by Gecko's Institute at West Yorkshire Playhouse on 7-10 May.

Closer to home, on 8+9 May at Contact, Word of Warning springs back into life with the third outing of Works Ahead featuring SheepKnuckle, Linsday Bennett and Paul O'Donnell... and, in fact, I'd better unearth myself from my hiding place backstage to actually rejoin rehearsals...
