warnmcr: turning springlike...

... or not? It may be meterological spring, but with the beast from the east threatening a chilly return next week, huddling inside watching Turn 2023 might be the way to go!

IRL:
This weekend seems pretty quiet, but you can catch The Pappy Show's What Do You See? at the Turnpike Gallery in Leigh, on Fri 3 + Sat 4 Mar.

Next week (w/c 6 Mar) for something technically theatrical, Imitating the Dog's Macbeth is at The Lowry (8-11 Mar).
Contact moves into dance mode, with the return of Turn on Fri 10 Mar. 10 pieces from Christian Asare, Jack Evans, James Hewison + Company, Lizzy Owen, Maisha Kungu Dance, Matrafisc Dance Company, Matter of Fact, Orla Collier, taciturn, Zara Jane - and all Pay What You Decide (see full programme details here). Mixed Movement also returns to Contact on Sat 11 Mar - this time as a partnership: Mixed Movement x Open Floor - if you want to perform, you can sign up on the night.

Further afield, the Arts Centre at Edgehill Univesity has a screening of Hedda on Tue 7 Mar and Ugly Bucket's Good Grief is on Thu 9 Mar. Liz Richardson's Swim is at the Dukes in Lancaster also on Thu 9 Mar. The Riley Theatre, Leeds has Jesús Rubio Gamo x WDP Fri 10 + Sat 11 Mar; while Jane Mason + Grace Surman's Same Room, Same Time is at Wainsgate Chapel, Hebden Bridge on Sat 11 Mar.
In London, Sprint Festival is at CPT (7-27 Mar).

The following week (w/c 13 Mar) Avant Garde Dance are at The Lowry and the intriguing Where We Gather is outside Manchester Central Library. In Ormskirk, there's Flip Flop, Paul O'Donnell and Jane Mason + Grace Surman. Bobak Champion and The Album are in Leeds.

Online/on the phone: The Lowry hosts All The Water in the World (on WhatsApp) on Fri 10 + Sat 11 Mar.
As ever, there's also Unity Online; and there's Lowry Digital, HOMESCREEN + Sadlers Wells Digital Stage and the Word of Warning YouTube.

Hoping to see lots of you at Turn 2023.
