As we all wait with baited breath for the latest u-turn in the revolving door of politics, this lady is not for turning as she's currently somewhere on a motorway en route to Birmingham to catch some of Fierce Festival (runs until 16 Oct).

This weekend,
closer to home there's dance: tonight Fri 14 Oct Joseph Toonga's Born to Exist is at The Lowry; tomorrow, Sat 15 Oct Avant Garde Dance's Illegal Dance is at NSCD in Leeds. The second Up Next is at the Unity in Liverpool (until 15 Oct) including Frankie Blaus, Benjamina Albanese + Arianna Sansone and Stan's Café's River Tours is in Lancaster on Sat 15 Oct.

Next week (w/c 17 Oct) Amy Vreeke's Glowing is at Contact (18-22 Oct); while Clorinda Agonistes's Clorinda the Warrior is at The Lowry on Tue 18 + Wed 19 Oct. HOME has Boy Blue's Blak, Whyte, Gray (20-22 Oct) and Javaad Alipoor's Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World (22 Oct - 5 Nov).
Elsewhere, The Arts Centre at Edgehill University has Rhiannon Faith's Drowntown on Tue 18 Oct + Fertile Ground's Myths & Dreams on Wed 19 Oct. In Liverpool, Rendez-Vous Dance's What songs may do is at the Capstone Theatre on Wed 19 Oct; and there's a Scratch Studio at the Everyman on Sat 22 Oct; while Mark Thomas's Black and White is at the Dukes, Lancaster on Wed 19 Oct.

The following week (w/c 24 Oct) CYC's Halo and Artists Make Space are at Contact; Extraordinary Bodies at The Lowry; and Watch Us Dance at the New Adelphi Theatre.
Further afield, to the west: Sweetshop Revolution are in Ormskirk; Seke Chimutengwede, Trash Salad, DaDaFest and Sonia Sabri in Liverpool; and in St Helens, Heart of Glass has Lowri Evans's Takeover 2022 including Jenny Gaskell and David Hoyle.
To the east: Ray Young and Pigfoot are in Leeds; and Ad Infinitum in Sheffield.
